Sales Development Representative
About the Role
We're looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative to join our growing team. You'll be responsible for identifying and qualifying potential customers who can benefit from open-source enterprise solutions, educating prospects about the cost savings and benefits of open-source software, and building a robust pipeline for our sales team.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential enterprise customers who could benefit from open-source solutions
- Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social media (LinkedIn, Twitter)
- Qualify leads and schedule discovery calls for Solutions Architects
- Educate prospects on the benefits of open-source software and TreeReed's services
- Maintain accurate records in CRM system (we use open-source CRM tools)
- Collaborate with marketing team to optimize lead generation campaigns
- Meet and exceed monthly quotas for qualified opportunities
- Stay current on open-source technologies and industry trends
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong research and prospecting abilities
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Interest in technology and open-source software (technical background a plus)
- Experience with CRM systems and sales tools
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Passion for helping businesses reduce software costs

Customer Support Representative
About the Role
Join our support team and help customers succeed with their open-source enterprise solutions. You'll provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role is perfect for someone who loves solving problems, learning new technologies, and helping people.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer support tickets via email, phone, and chat
- Troubleshoot technical issues with open-source software (databases, web servers, applications)
- Document solutions in knowledge base for customer self-service
- Escalate complex issues to Solutions Architects when needed
- Conduct remote support sessions using screen sharing tools
- Monitor system health and proactively identify potential issues
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical support coverage
- Contribute to process improvements and customer experience initiatives
- Create tutorial videos and documentation for common issues
Qualifications
- 2+ years of technical support or help desk experience
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB preferred)
- Familiarity with web servers (Apache, Nginx), networking basics
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
- Customer-focused mindset with patience and empathy
- Ability to work flexible hours including some evenings/weekends
- Experience with open-source software is a strong plus

Solutions Architect
About the Role
As a Solutions Architect, you'll design and implement enterprise-grade open-source solutions for our clients. You'll work directly with customers to understand their technical requirements, design scalable architectures, lead implementation projects, and mentor junior team members. This is a high-impact role for an experienced technologist passionate about open-source software.
Responsibilities
- Design enterprise architecture solutions using open-source technologies
- Lead technical discovery sessions with customers to understand requirements
- Architect database migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL/MariaDB
- Implement and configure enterprise applications (MediaWiki, NextCloud, Solr, etc.)
- Design high-availability, scalable infrastructure solutions
- Write and review code for custom integrations and extensions
- Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks
- Perform security assessments and implement hardening measures
- Mentor junior engineers and support team members
- Contribute to open-source projects and represent TreeReed in the community
- Stay current with emerging open-source technologies and best practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in systems architecture, DevOps, or software engineering
- Deep expertise with Linux/Unix systems administration
- Strong database skills (PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MongoDB) including performance tuning
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or similar)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl)
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms
- Experience with web servers (Apache, Nginx), load balancers, reverse proxies
- Understanding of networking, security, and enterprise IT infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Experience with Oracle-to-PostgreSQL migrations is a strong plus
- Active contributor to open-source projects preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
